Dhaka Journal : The month-long ‘Amar Ekushey Book Fair’ has made a record in selling books this year.
Books of Tk 42-crore have been sold at the fair, organized by Bangla Academy in February.
The Academy’s public relations department informed the media.
According to the organizers, this year’s sale is almost double than the previous year.
Of the amount, Bangla Academy earned Tk 1.50-cr and other publishers earned the rest.
However, books of Tk 21.95-cr were sold past year and Tk 16-cr in 2014, the Academy said.
